This baked feta pasta pasta is blowing up the internet right now. It’s simple, delicious, and packed with flavor. The feta, tomatoes, and zucchini come together to make an amazing creamy sauce. Mix in the fresh pasta, and chicken sausage and you get a wonderfully salty, creamy dinner enough for four people (at least if you take absolutely giant bowls, like we did LOL.)

The TikTok Baked Feta Pasta
I have seen thousands of videos on TikTok about this baked feta pasta. Now we’re seeing them on Instagram, twitter, and I assume Facebook (which I don’t use nearly as much!) It’s the latest viral pasta recipe. And I figured since it took me so long to put out my Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe, I wasn’t going to miss my opportunity to make this baked feta pasta as soon as possible. I mean who doesn’t love a baked feta dish??
Not too long ago I was playing around with a baked feta dip recipe (which will be coming out soon, I promise!!) Even my boyfriend, who I know doesn’t like feta couldn’t get enough. And he tried this baked feta pasta too, and slowly but surely I am getting him to love feta as much as I do. Now what to make him try next is the question…
Hidden Vegetables In This Baked Feta Pasta
The sauce would be creamy enough without the zucchini, but who doesn’t like to eat some hidden veggies? Doesn’t it make your feel so healthy to get those extra veggies in? Typically I don’t like zucchini, but they totally melt into the sauce it’s like they’re not even there! When I first tested the baked feta pasta, I just did the regular TikTok trend version with tomatoes, oil, and feta. And while that was delicious, I figured it couldn’t hurt to experiment and add some other things as well.
And in my opinion the zucchini makes this pasta so much better. Not only do I feel good about getting my veggies in, but it definitely adds to the creamy texture of the sauce without altering the flavor too much! Which is great for zucchini skeptics (such as myself), anyone who wants to get more veggies in, or someone that’s trying to get their kid to eat more veggies. If my mom made this when I was a kid, I probably would never have known there was zucchini in it!
Chicken Sausage
Originally when I was thinking about what I could add to this dish to put my own spin on it. I was thinking I would brown up some chicken cutlets and mix them in with the sauce. I figured, what could a little protein hurt, right? Give it some more nutritional value, instead of just eating pasta. Not that eating pasta is a a bad thing, I could and would eat pasta every single day if I could.
I planned on testing this recipe over the weekend (which is when I cook the most, literally all day.) So I asked my boyfriend if he thought I should add the chicken, because I knew the test recipe would be for us to eat for lunch. And I also knew that chicken doesn’t really fall under “things Philip likes to eat,” so when I asked I already knew the answer. (Side note, maybe since I’ve had so much success getting him to love feta, chicken will be the next thing I try!)
So after going back and forth on what to add to the pasta, I suggested sausage. While I was trying to stay away from red meat and make this just a teeny bit healthier, I was prepared to settle. More so because I love sausage than anything else. And Philip had a wonderful idea, we could use chicken sausage instead, truly a compromise between our two palettes.
What Will The Next Trend Be??
Now that everyone on the planet is making this baked feta pasta, I am wondering what the next viral TikTok food trend will be. Do you think it will be another pasta? I feel like pasta is a universally loved recipe. I mean I’ve never met anyone who DOESN’T love pasta. So I think that the next TikTok trend will be another pasta – but who knows what it could be! Let me know in the comments below what YOU think the next trending recipe will be!

Equipment
It couldn’t be easier to make this baked feta pasta. Really all you need would be a pot to boil water in (for the pasta), and a small pan to cook the sausages in. Oh and of course, a big baking dish. Not only to cook the tomatoes, zucchini, and feta in. But big enough to mix the past and sausage in too! I used a big white ceramic baking dish. Courtesy of my mother, who has been kind enough to keep every piece of cookware she’s ever owned so she can pass some down to me after I move out. Other than that, all your need is a fork or spoon to mash the tomatoes and zucchini. Oh and of course some HUGE pasta dishes for you and your family to enjoy.
