This spiked apple cider will have you feeling extra warm and toasty as the weather gets colder and colder. Grab your apple cider and your spiced rum and kick back on the couch with a blanket and a Christmas movie. (Yes it’s November now so it is socially acceptable for me to be scrolling Netflix for sappy Christmas romances – don’t judge!)

Look I’ll be honest, (and maybe this is an unpopular opinion) but I don’t like apples. But things like apple juice, apple sauce, and apple cider? SIGN ME UP. I was always begging for apple juice when I was a kid (and mac and cheese but we’ll get into that another time.)
And now as an adult not much has changed, though I do prefer cranberry juice over apple now, a learned habit from my boyfriend. And when I drink apple cider, I like it warm and spiked with rum!

Spiked Warm Apple Cider on a Cold Night
Picture this, you’re sitting in your favorite comfy spot in the house, the heat is on, the wind is blowing outside, you’re wrapped up in a blanket, sounds so nice, right? It’s been a long day at work and it’s time to finally relax and unwind. And what pairs best with this kind of night? A nice warm drink – even better with alcohol! This spiked apple cider will be your go-to drink this fall and winter, warming you up from the inside out when the nights get too cold and you’re dreaming of summer and warm beachy weather (I know I’m the weird one for loving the cold weather, until I start shivering and then I remember why everyone hates the cold!)
I don’t have any other cocktails or drink recipes out yet – but make sure you keep an eye on my drinks category and look out for new emails from Happy Stirring, because I do have a boozy eggnog recipe coming next month! (I literally can’t wait, I almost bought eggnog at the store last weekend!)
